Job Title: Plumbing and Fire Fighting System Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced plumbing and fire fighting system designer to join our team.

  • A strong background in plumbing and fire fighting system design, with experience working on large-scale projects is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have the ability to produce concept designs, schematic designs, design developments, and construction designs for plumbing and fire fighting systems as per the architect's layout, client requirements, and specifications.
  • Develop tender drawings for plumbing and fire fighting systems, including waste, soil, rainwater, sprinkler, hose reel, and fire extinguisher systems.
  • Provide calculated notes to support design decisions, as required.
  • Prepare shop drawings for submission and resubmission, including plumbing and fire fighting system drawings.
  • Select and prepare materials for submission, considering cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to obtain quotations and technical documents, if necessary.
  • Take off BOQs for firefighting and plumbing systems, including sprinkler heads, pipes, sanitary fixtures, and units.
  • Prepare information regarding design, structure specifications, materials, equipment, estimated costs, and construction times.
  • Consult with consultants to determine MEP function and spatial requirements.
  • Closely coordinate with electrical, mechanical, architectural, and structural teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Direct activities of workers engaged in preparing drawing and specification documents, plan layouts, and prepare scale drawings.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to prepare technical reports and installation on-site.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Prepare project schedules, designs, and constructions, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Prepare progress reports, daily reports, weekly reports, and monthly reports to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Prepare material lists and costing for bidding purposes.
