Director - SOG Position Overview

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, ability to create persuasive presentations and written reports, and experience managing complex projects involving multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop Strategic Plans: Create and implement strategic plans, continuously evaluate the vision and mission of the Institute, and align institutional processes to strategy and mission.
  2. Design Curriculum: Develop high-quality curriculum that meets governance needs with a global perspective, comparable to the best in the country.
  3. Lead Social Initiatives: Lead and drive social initiatives, including community service, leadership development programs, and collaborative partnerships.
  4. Plan Manpower Needs: Plan manpower needs and recruit high-calibre faculty on time.
  5. Faculty Development: Foster continuous Faculty Development Programs to ensure faculty members stay updated on latest developments.
  6. Social Engagement: Engage with the society to understand its changing needs and incorporate them into curriculum development.
  7. Alumni Outreach: Promote engagement with alumni and participate effectively in university activities.
  8. Legislative Tracking: Track legislative and policy issues related to the field and develop strategies for informed board, management, and staff.

As a visionary leader, you will be responsible for building a strategic vision for the School of Government, defining medium and long-term academic and research direction and priorities. You will provide leadership to teaching and non-teaching staff, creating an environment where students can learn, thrive, and become leaders and innovators in society.
