Job Title: Community Health Advocate
The position of a City Coordinator at Heart Health India Foundation is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of community-based health initiatives. Our mission is centered around empowering patients and their families through awareness, advocacy, and education.
We are seeking an experienced professional with strong public health knowledge to join our team as a City Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering heart health awareness events in government medical colleges, district hospitals, and public institutions.
This involves liaison with State NHM departments, hospital administrators, and district health officials to build long-term partnerships that align with HHIF's programmes and state-level NCD and CVD priorities.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent networking, negotiation, and coordination skills, with the ability to navigate government processes and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with government officials, hospital administrators, and district health officials to develop and implement health initiatives
- Plan and deliver heart health awareness events in government medical colleges, district hospitals, and public institutions
- Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient education programmes
- Maintain accurate records and reports on project activities and outcomes
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in public health, NGOs, CSR, hospitals, or development programmes
- Demonstrated work with government health systems (NHM, NCD Cells, Medical Colleges, District Hospitals)
- Prior exposure to organising community health events, awareness campaigns, or patient engagement programmes
- Strong networking, negotiation, and coordination skills with ability to navigate government processes
- Proficiency in local language for effective engagement with hospitals and communities
