About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to the legal team across a range of functions and tasks. This includes assisting businesses with compliance and risk management matters, drafting and revising company policies, and handling labour issues.

  • Key responsibilities include:
  1. Drafting and revising company policies (internal and external) in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  2. Providing expert advice on compliance and risk management matters, including conducting legal audits and due diligence.
  3. Handling labour issues and ensuring effective support to HR in implementing internal policies.
  4. Coordinating with legal counsel and other stakeholders to drive business objectives forward.
  5. Anticipating and addressing potential legal risks and challenges facing the business.
  6. Benchmarking industry standards and best practices to ensure the business remains competitive.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum LLB/LLM degree from a reputable institution.
  • 4-6 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of computers, including MS Word and Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • PREFERRED: Experience working in education, internet/e-commerce, media, FMCG or service industries.
