Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fund Services Specialist to join our team at RSM Delivery Center Private Limited (India). As a Fund Services Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients in the private equity industry, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of their financial statements, and maintaining the highest level of quality in all aspects of your work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume ownership of property/fund structures, encompassing complete end-to-end responsibilities for property accounting.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with variance analysis.
  • Ensure the maintenance of proper accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls, and ensure all financial transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP requirements.
  • Handle bookkeeping for entity operations, including cash booking, expense accruals, assets and depreciation accounting, management fees, credit facility maintenance, deal funding, etc.
  • Support queries from clients, property/fund accounting teams, regulatory authorities, and external auditors.
  • Assist with onboarding new clients, setting up entities, assets, and building customized reports in line with client reporting requirements.
  • Create SOPs and checklists for various processes to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Work collaboratively with global team members to manage day-to-day operations, implement month-end close processes, and provide client servicing.
  • Offer mentorship and guidance to new or junior team members.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in property accounting domain with fund managers or fund administrators or public accounting firms.
  • Ability to interpret and apply the financial and operational terms of property-related agreements and structures for RE entities.
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting.
  • CPA and/or CA preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of property accounting platforms (Yardi and MRI knowledge is a significant plus).
  • Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic, team player, upholds personal and professional integrity, and maintains a positive attitude.
  • Possesses effective oral and written communication skills, as well as influencing skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Adapts well to dynamic, fast-paced environments and excels at managing multiple projects simultaneously.
