As a Senior Construction Project Manager, you will lead and manage all construction aspects of a specific building project from start to finish, ensuring delivery of a safe, compliant, sustainable, and innovative property solution based on business needs.

You will be responsible for delivering safe, compliant, sustainable, and innovative property solutions that meet the needs of the business and its stakeholders. This includes participating in the development of strategies for engaging with designers and contractors in projects to find cost-efficient and innovative project delivery methods.

  • Project Delivery: Procurement Strategy, Business Strategies for Engaging with Design and Construction Industry, Collaboration Strategies, Tendering, Selection Process, Dispute Avoidance and Resolution
  • Pre and On-site Construction Project Management
  • Scheduling, Risk Management
  • Health and Safety including IWAY Compliance for Construction Projects

Responsibilities also include ensuring that new properties are built to optimal lifecycle costs, securing awareness among external partners about Ingka's frameworks, guidelines, and initiatives, managing project budget estimates and time schedules for investment approval purposes, and managing detailed architectural and engineering designs in accordance with Ingka standards, manuals, and guidelines.

The ideal candidate has several years of experience in contracting and consulting roles involving construction projects, preferably within the retail sector, and is familiar with Ingka's construction standards, procurement processes, contract negotiations, and risk management principles. They should also have knowledge of project management software, such as MS Project, and relevant design management tools.

A strong understanding of sustainability concepts, including BREEAM and LEED, is also required. Additionally, proficiency in communicating clearly and confidently in English is essential.
