Manual Tester Job Overview

As a Manual Tester, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products. Your primary responsibility will be to identify defects and inconsistencies through rigorous manual testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze product requirements to define acceptance criteria, driving the development of effective test plans.
  2. Design and maintain reusable test scripts that meet industry standards, ensuring consistency and efficiency in the testing process.
  3. Execute manual testing to pinpoint defects and inaccuracies, providing actionable feedback for improvement.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Development, to align on test plans and ensure seamless execution.
  5. Provide informed estimates on test resources and effort to support prioritization and planning, enhancing overall project management.
  6. Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using bug tracking tools, facilitating swift issue resolution.
  7. Work closely with engineers to optimize defect resolution and improve overall product quality, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  8. Participate as a testing resource when required, contributing to the success of all releases.
  9. Assist in regularly reviewing and evolving processes to stay abreast of industry best practices, promoting professional growth and development.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  1. The ideal candidate should possess a strong desire to gain experience in manual testing and a proven track record of successful QA involvement throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  2. You will have practical knowledge and experience with both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies, as well as expertise in developing automated test scripts using Selenium.
  3. Experience in a fast-paced development-driven environment is highly desirable, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
