We're seeking a seasoned Senior Engineering Lead to spearhead our MEPF systems design initiatives. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for leading and managing MEPF design projects, ensuring high-quality, innovative, and sustainable solutions that enhance the quality of life for occupants and meet project goals in compliance with national/international codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Detailed Design and Documentation:
    • Preliminary design, engineering, and documentation, including budgetary estimates and statutory approvals related design documentation/drawings in compliance with local departments.
    • Preparation of detailed design brief reports, standard details, new product introductions, and market studies.
    • Tender documents, bills of quantity (BOQ), and lists of approved products.
  • Project Execution:
    • Ensure timely and within-budget delivery of MEPF design phases.
    • Effective resolution of any design-related issues that arise during project execution.
    • Technical evaluation of vendors and products to meet quality standards.
    • Management of all stages of MEPF design from conceptualization to final implementation.
    • Collaboration with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
    • Maintenance of project timelines, budgets, and milestones without compromising on quality.
  • Construction Documents:
    • Release of good-for-construction drawings and documents with complete accuracy.
    • Updating of work progress trackers and reviewing all design batches and closures.
    • Real-time insights into project status, milestones, and deadlines.
    • Closure of RFIs within 2 days and updating project trackers on a weekly basis.
  • Compliance and Safety Documentation:
    • Reports confirming adherence to codes, standards, and safety regulations.
    • Comprehensive safety audits and inspection reports.
  • Training and Team Development:
    • Mentorship of junior team members with guidance and accuracy.
    • Documented professional development plans and training records for team members.
    • Performance review reports and feedback documentation.
    • Adherence to design standards, best practices, and technological advancements.
    • Maintenance of responsibility for the quality, safety, and regulatory compliance of all MEPF designs.
  • Project Oversight and Coordination:
    • Compliance with local, national, and international codes and standards.
    • Audit and inspection of MEPF systems to ensure they meet organizational and regulatory standards.
    • Development and enforcement of safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure safety through MEPF design.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering with 6+ years of experience in plumbing, firefighting, stormwater, and sewage network design in large projects consisting of villas, residential, and commercial buildings.
  2. Thorough knowledge of applicable IS codes, National Building Code, NFPA, etc.
  3. Experience with Revit is mandatory.
