Job Title:

Mechanical Design Professional

About the Position:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Professional to oversee the design, coordination, and implementation of plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and firefighting systems for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing appropriate plumbing systems for the project including domestic water, sanitary, storm water, hot water, gas systems etc.
  • Performing calculations as directed by senior engineer.
  • Developing plumbing system layouts, pipe sizing and equipment selection.
  • Familiarity with International Plumbing design codes.
  • Conducting heat load calculations using tools like HAP to determine heating and cooling requirements for buildings.
  • Designing HVAC systems including water-cooled and air-cooled chiller plants, Variable Refrigerant flow (VRF) systems, Direct Expansion (DX) systems etc.
  • Selecting equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, VRF systems, fan coil units, air handling units (AHUs), fans, and DX units based on project specifications.
  • Design fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and hydrants, according to national and international codes.
  • Performing hydraulic calculations for sprinkler systems, ensuring proper coverage and compliance with safety standards.
  • Reviewing fire protection system submittals and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • 8-15 years experience in Plumbing/ HVAC & Firefighting.
