Database Development Expert

We are seeking an experienced Database Development Expert with expertise in MySQL and MS SQL. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in SQL programming, database architecture, and data integration, along with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

This role involves database design, development, performance optimization, and administration in high-availability environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Collaborate with application development teams to translate data requirements into efficient database designs.
  • Perform data modeling and create ER diagrams.
  • Optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
  • Implement indexing strategies and query optimization techniques.
  • Monitor database performance metrics and proactively resolve issues.
  • Manage backups, recovery, and disaster recovery plans for MySQL and MS SQL.
  • Ensure database security, access control, and data integrity.
  • Handle patching, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes for system-to-system data integration.
  • Implement data warehousing solutions for reporting and analytics.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior developers.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and 6-7 years of proven experience as a Database Developer (MySQL & MS SQL).
