Middleware Expert Wanted

The role of Middleware Administrator is crucial in leading the architecture, deployment, and management of middleware technologies.

This position requires a knowledgeable individual to support the organization's application ecosystem by providing operational support, ensuring system stability, and working closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure smooth operations of middleware components.

  • Lead the design and architecture of middleware solutions, ensuring they align with business goals and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create reliable and scalable middleware architectures.
  • Develop documentation, architectural diagrams, and best practice guidelines.
  • Implement automation scripts for deployment, configuration management, and monitoring using tools like Ansible or Puppet.

Middleware Administrators play a pivotal role in supporting and documenting the installation, configuration, capacity planning, upgrading, problem resolution, and debugging of all middleware product environments.

This position requires strong technical skills and experience in middleware administration, with expertise in platforms like Apache Tomcat, WebSphere, JBoss, WebLogic, IBM MQ. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of experience in middleware architecture and design for large-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate on definition of infrastructure standards and contribute to the overall architecture roadmap.
  • Collaborate on technical design and provide consulting services including identification and documentation of requirements and design.
  • Collaborate in the installation, configuration and upgrading of enterprise application software, customizing settings and managing associated environments.
  • Recommend and lead improvements to provide the highest level of availability and performance.
  • Provide proactive support to maintain high availability and reliability of middleware systems.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve middleware-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, application errors, and connectivity issues.
  • Manage middleware patches, upgrades, and security configurations in line with best practices.
  • Follows policies and procedures to ensure corporate compliance, examples include data security and change control.
  • Coordinate with engineering, solution vendors and support teams on problem resolution, design issues and upgrades.
