High-Level Consultant Role

This is a senior-level position for a consultant who will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Excellent software development knowledge in Java, microservices and cloud computing.
  • Design and implement data pipelines using Kafka event streaming.
  • Develop strong hands-on experience building applications using Kafka event streaming (preferably Confluent Kafka).
  • Experience in deploying solutions using continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) and DevOps practices.
  • Understand use cases and develop applications from detailed design specifications.
  • Write user stories based on understanding of use cases.
  • Collaborate with other developers to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Develop full range of tests to support fully automated deployment pipeline (unit, integration, system, smoke, performance, etc.).
  • Bug and defect remediation.
  • Interact with customers on specific items.
  • Adhere to client coding standards.
  • Write test cases as needed for ensuring fully automated deployment pipeline.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives as required.
  • Mentor and coach junior staff members.
  • Develop effective APIs (REST API a plus).
  • Experience in technical documentation and creation of administration/support documents.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Experience in Java and Kafka - preferably Confluent Kafka.
  • Experience in server-side technologies (REST API a plus).
  • Experience in creating, maintaining and optimizing Kafka clusters and data pipelines.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Knowledge and experience in Agile/Scrum project methodology.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Willingness and ability to multitask.
  • Willigness to learn new products/platforms and associated technologies.
  • Ability to learn and apply new technology and tools.
