We are seeking an experienced and skilled Diesel Engine Specialist to join our team. As a Diesel Engine Specialist, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of diesel engines and related systems in vehicles and heavy equipment.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of diesel engines, their components, and associated electrical and mechanical systems. You will use diagnostic tools and computer software to pinpoint mechanical and electrical issues in diesel engines and their components. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Utilizing diagnostic tools and computer software to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in diesel engines and their components.
  • Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and tire rotations to keep equipment running smoothly.
  • Repairs: Repairing and replacing damaged or worn parts, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, and other mechanical components.
  • Record Keeping: Documenting all maintenance and repair work in detail for future reference and to maintain client records.
  • Customer Communication: Explaining technical issues to vehicle owners in understandable terms and discussing the work performed.

  • Diagnostic Aptitude: The ability to interpret test results and identify the root cause of equipment malfunctions.

  • Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication with both co-workers and customers.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous record-keeping and strict adherence to inspection and maintenance checklists.
