Card Operations and Chargeback Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Card Operations and Chargeback Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing chargebacks, optimizing dispute resolution efficiency, and ensuring compliance with card scheme regulations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in chargeback management, dispute reduction, process optimization, cross-functional collaboration, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chargeback Management:
  • Handle daily chargeback cases promptly to minimize exposure.
  • Investigate disputes thoroughly and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Identify trends and root causes of disputes, recommending corrective actions.
  • Dispute Reduction:
  • Analyze dispute data to identify high-risk merchants, transaction types, or patterns.
  • Collaborate with merchants to implement fraud prevention tools and best practices.
  • Share regular insights to improve dispute win rates and reduce loss ratios.
  • Process Optimization & Risk Control:
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve operational processes for chargeback handling.
  • Maintain strong financial controls, ensuring compliance with internal risk policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Balance risk mitigation with service delivery to protect profitability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with product and operations teams to assess risk impact of new initiatives.
  • Provide input during product design and rollout to ensure risk controls are embedded.
  • Support business decisions by presenting data-driven insights.
  • Compliance & Quality Monitoring:
  • Ensure adherence to Visa, Mastercard, JCB, CUP, Diners, and other card scheme chargeback regulations.
