Big Data Engineer Role

We are seeking a seasoned Big Data Expert to lead our data engineering efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing, building, and optimizing large-scale data pipelines using big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.

About the Role:

  • Design and develop scalable data architectures for handling massive datasets.
  • Develop and optimize data processing workflows using Scala, Python, and R.
  • Leverage Apache Kafka and NiFi for real-time data integration and streaming.
  • Perform data analysis using Jupyter Notebooks, SQL, and data visualization tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design cloud-based data solutions.
  • Ensure high-quality code delivery through rigorous testing, performance tuning, and best practices.
  • Build monitoring and alerting systems using Splunk or equivalent tools.
  • Participate in CI/CD workflows using Git, Jenkins, and other DevOps tools.
  • Contribute to product development with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and performance.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Scala: Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience.
  • Strong expertise in Spark (PySpark) and Python programming languages.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and NiFi for data streaming.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases and data modeling.
  • Strong experience in distributed data systems (5+ years).
  • Proficiency in SQL and query optimization techniques.
  • Good understanding of cloud architecture principles.
