About This Role
  • Develop and execute a technical strategy for our SaaS platform, driving innovation and excellence in software engineering.
  • Build and lead a high-performing engineering organization, fostering collaboration and driving product transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Platform Engineering Strategy: Define and execute a comprehensive platform engineering strategy, aligning with business objectives and ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  2. R&D Roadmap Execution: Develop and implement a robust R&D roadmap, prioritizing key initiatives and driving successful execution through effective project management.
  3. Engineering Organization Leadership: Lead and develop a talented team of engineers, providing coaching, mentoring, and opportunities for growth and professional development.
  4. SaaS Platform Development and Operations: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of our SaaS platform, ensuring timely delivery and meeting quality standards.
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, marketing, and customer success, to drive alignment and ensure seamless delivery of our SaaS platform.
  6. Daily Technical Decision-Making: Make informed, data-driven decisions on technical matters, balancing business needs with engineering best practices.
  7. Agile Methodologies and Data-Driven Culture: Embed agile methodologies throughout the engineering organization, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
Requirements
  1. 15+ years of experience in software engineering, including 10+ years leading SaaS platform/product development in Agile environments.
  2. Proven leadership managing engineering organizations of 100+ team members across diverse skill sets.
  3. Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, containers, APIs, Infrastructure-as-Code, and serverless computing.
  4. Strong understanding of software & infrastructure cost dynamics.
  5. Technical background in Java, .NET, AWS, RedHat, ETL tools, and front-end technologies; familiarity with Github Copilot, Jira a plus.
  6. Track record of coaching, mentoring, and building engineering talent pipelines.
