Quality Assurance Director Job Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and implement effective quality control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer expectations.

This position oversees all aspects of product quality, from raw materials to finished goods, driving continuous improvement in production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality System Management:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems, policies, and procedures.
    • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and internal quality standards through regular audits and inspections.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Supervise the quality control team to monitor and evaluate production processes, guaranteeing consistency and safety.
    • Establish protocols for raw material inspection, in-process control, and finished product testing.
    • Address any quality deviations or non-conformities promptly, implementing corrective actions.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Certification:
    • Maintain necessary certifications and ensure compliance with industry standards.
    • Accurately document all quality control processes and procedures for internal and external audits.
    • Collaborate with regulatory bodies during inspections.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Drive initiatives for product quality and process efficiency improvements.
    • Work closely with R&D, production, and procurement teams to address quality-related issues and innovate solutions.
    • Lead quality training programs for staff to maintain high standards and awareness.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Manage and mentor the quality control team, allocating resources effectively and promoting professional development.
    • Cultivate a culture of quality and safety throughout the organization.
