Anesthesia Technician

This role involves working as part of a dynamic surgical team to provide essential support to anesthesiologists before, during, and after medical procedures. Preparing, operating, and maintaining anesthesia equipment is crucial for patient safety.

Job Summary:

The Anesthesia Technician is responsible for preparing and setting up anesthesia machines, monitors, and other related equipment. They must also maintain accurate records and follow hospital protocols.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Preparation and Maintenance: Set up and calibrate anesthesia machines, monitors, and other equipment according to manufacturer guidelines. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of all equipment.
  • Clinical Support: Assist anesthesiologists with patient preparation, including positioning and IV line setup. Provide required instruments and supplies promptly.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain adequate stock levels of anesthesia supplies, medications, and disposable items in operating rooms and storage areas.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education: A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Anesthesia Technology or Operation Theatre Technology from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as an Anesthesia Technician in a hospital or surgical setting.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
  • Personal Attributes: Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.
