Electrical Procurement Specialist Job Description

The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Procurement Specialist to handle the end-to-end procurement of electrical items. The ideal candidate will have strong vendor management, negotiation, and technical understanding of electrical materials.

The successful candidate will identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors for electrical products (cables, switchgears, panels, etc.). They will also prepare price comparison sheets, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure purchases align with project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate potential vendors for electrical products.
  • Prepare and issue RFQs, as well as conduct thorough price comparisons.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of quotations, POs, payments, and approvals.
  • Ensure all purchases are made within budget and in compliance with company procurement guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in an electrical trading company.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and good communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
