CMDB Technical Analyst Role

This role is part of the Information Management (IM) function. The CMDB Technical Analyst will be responsible for administering and executing configuration management changes, ensuring CMDB data integrity & robustness.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintaining accuracy and completeness of CMDB data by identifying and resolving data inconsistencies.
  • Establishing relationships between CIs to accurately reflect dependencies within the IT infrastructure.
  • Performing data cleansing and deduplication activities.
  • Managing the CMDB module, improving data representation accuracy.
  • Developing and tracking key performance indicators for CMDB health.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years relevant experience in an IT industry.
  • 5 years' ServiceNow experience with a focus on IT Service Management (ITSM).
  • Experience in ServiceNow CMDB, ITOM, SAM (Software Asset Management) & HAM (Hardware Asset Management) Module.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and components (servers, networks, applications).
  • ITIL certified and strong experience of ITIL processes.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the IT ServiceNow System Admin and all process owners within IT.

Candidates should have excellent communication and collaboration skills and be able to manage CI data in a ServiceNow CMDB.

They should also have experience creating CI Data Health reports, identifying, and resolving CI data gaps to maintain CI data integrity.

Able to provide training on ITOM discovery, OT Module and SAM best practices.
