Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Pipeline Development: Design and maintain data pipelines connecting Aurora MySQL to Redshift Serverless and S3/QuickSight for seamless data integration.
  • Data Modeling: Create data models, materialized views, and APIs to enable fast reporting and analytics.
  • Automation: Automate scheduled reporting workflows and exports for clients and administrators.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver insights quickly.
  • Infrastructure Optimization: Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability of our analytics infrastructure.
Mandatory Skills:
  • AWS Experience: Strong experience with AWS data stack (Aurora, Redshift, S3, Lambda/EventBridge) is essential.
  • SQL and Data Modeling: Solid SQL and data modeling skills (fact/dimension schemas, materialized views) are required.
  • BI Tools: Familiarity with BI tools like QuickSight, Metabase, or Superset is necessary.
  • Security and Governance: Good understanding of IAM, security, and data governance principles is mandatory.
Desirable Skills:
  • Python Experience: Experience with Python (and libraries like awswrangler for data automation) is highly desirable.
  • ETL/ELT Frameworks: Exposure to ETL/ELT frameworks (Glue, Airflow, dbt) is an asset.
  • Data Lake Best Practices: Knowledge of data lake best practices (Parquet, partitioning) is valuable.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code: Comfort with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CDK) is beneficial.
  • SaaS Reporting Architectures: Understanding of multi-tenant SaaS reporting architectures is a plus.
