Cloud Data Architect

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Data Architect to design, build and maintain scalable data platforms on AWS.

  • This is a hands-on technical role requiring deep involvement in building, deploying, and maintaining the data platform. You will work with a team of experienced engineers to design, develop, and scale our data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable data platforms using AWS services such as EMR, Glue, S3, Redshift, and Athena.
  • Build event-driven systems using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, and EventBridge.
  • Integrate these services into scalable and decoupled data pipelines and microservices.
  • Familiarity with designing and working within microservices-based architectures.
  • Work collaboratively with the engineering team to resolve technical issues and improve the overall quality of the data platform.

Requirements:

  • Solid programming expertise in Python, with strong fundamentals in computer science, data structures, algorithms, and system design.
  • Proven problem-solving ability with a focus on writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Deep understanding of data platforms, including end-to-end architecture from ingestion to transformation to consumption.
  • Hands-on experience building and scaling data platforms in production environments.
  • Strong expertise in AWS ecosystem, including Amazon EMR, AWS Glue, Amazon S3, Redshift, and Athena.
  • Proficiency in building event-driven systems using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, and EventBridge.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and service communication.
