Actuarial Manager

The Role:

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • • Design and implement actuarial models for valuation of US GAAP and local statutory assets in EMEA countries.
  • • Collaborate with various teams, including GAM, Regional Chief Actuary's team, Finance team, and SII team to meet modeling and reporting requirements.
  • • Develop a deep understanding of existing US GAAP and local statutory valuation processes, models, and relevant concepts.
  • • Build strong relationships with internal clients to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • • Mentor and train new team members as needed.
  • • Provide technical support to team members.
  • • Support additional financial research, governance, controls, actuarial methods, and standards within assigned sub-region.
  • • Review work produced by the team, manage project timelines, and focus on delivering good quality results.
  • • Communicate effectively with Financial Controllers to ensure suitable reserving and accounting practices.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of actuarial models, US GAAP, and local statutory regulations.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
