Job Overview

At Kissht, we're on a mission to revolutionize access to credit for consumers. Our platform powers millions of transactions every month and is rapidly scaling.

This role involves leading our team of software developers to create efficient Golang code and overseeing the development of new features and projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong system design skills and experience in building large-scale systems that can handle high traffic without breaking down.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Write clean, efficient Golang code and guide your team to do the same.
  2. Work with the product team to understand new features and projects, and figure out the best way to build them.
  3. Design scalable systems that can handle millions of requests without breaking a sweat.
  4. Work with Kafka, AWS services, and containerized deployments to keep things running smoothly.
  5. Conduct detailed PR reviews and ensure best practices are followed.
  6. Take part in daily stand-ups and product backlog discussions to keep everyone aligned.
  7. Keep tech documentation up to date so no one is left guessing how things work.
  8. Distribute work smartly within your team and make sure things get delivered on time.
  9. Keep an eye on system health using tools like Grafana, New Relic, Sentry, and jump in quickly when incidents happen.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 8+ years of backend development experience, with at least 4+ years in Golang.
  • Strong system design skills and experience building large-scale systems.
  • Good understanding of Kafka.
  • Proficient with Docker; Kubernetes experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on with AWS (ECS, ECR, S3, Lambda, Secrets Manager, EC2, Route 53).
  • Familiarity with MySQL and MongoDB.
  • Experience with at least one of these: Grafana (Loki, Tempo, Prometheus), New Relic, Sentry.
  • Can write basic automation scripts in Python or Shell.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
