Cyber Security Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our dynamic cyber defense team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safeguarding an organization's digital infrastructure by monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze logs from firewalls, antivirus, email security, and threat intelligence sources.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and trends in the cybersecurity landscape.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience working with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or similar).
  • Proficiency in common security tools: EDR, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP protocols and network infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, incident triage, and reporting capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards, security controls, and best practices.
  • Having industry certifications like Security+, CEH, or similar is a plus.
