The role of a Strategic Data Specialist is pivotal in ensuring the effective management of data across various systems and infrastructure. This involves overseeing strategic data to guarantee its quality, coverage, and optimal utilization.

This position supports different elements of the data lifecycle, including data capture, validation, classification, and operation controls. The Strategic Data Specialist is also responsible for maintaining robust processes related to data setup, storage, distribution, and system configuration.

In addition, the Strategic Data Specialist participates in projects aimed at streamlining infrastructure and enhancing efficiency. Reference data plays a vital role in the bank's response to regulatory requirements, necessitating close partnerships with stakeholders such as Front Office, Middle Office, Audit, Compliance, and Regulatory teams.

To achieve this, the Strategic Data Specialist must balance immediate business priorities with long-term strategic objectives. This involves handling data operations, generating reports from data interpretation, and collaborating with team members to deliver solutions that meet these objectives.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Process: Ensure accuracy and timeliness in data input, particularly in account opening and maintenance processes.

  • Control: Maintain adherence to processing guidelines (KOP) and ensure the resolution of issues on priority basis.

  • Change: Identify opportunities for automation, reduce manual intervention, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

We are seeking an individual with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field and 6 months to 3 years of work experience in corporate banking. The ideal candidate should possess basic knowledge of banking operations, financial products, and financial instruments, including fixed income cash derivatives. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is also essential.
