IT Infrastructure Specialist

Maintain and manage the organization's IT infrastructure to ensure smooth operation, security, and reliability of various systems, servers, and networks.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage servers, networks, and systems for high availability and optimal performance.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to servers, networks, and software applications.
  • Implement security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access, viruses, and threats.
  • Regularly update and patch systems with the latest security and software enhancements.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels for proper security protocols.
  • Collaborate with vendors to recommend new hardware and software solutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Plan and perform system backups and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users addressing their IT-related inquiries.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT role.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies, cloud services, and networking protocols.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages for automation and system management.
  • Experience with system monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration.
