Public Relations Strategist

As a public affairs specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organization's communication with the public, media, and institutions/agencies.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute strategic communication initiatives that advance organizational goals and foster public understanding.
- Serve as the primary liaison for media inquiries, craft press releases, and monitor media coverage of our activities.
- Represent our organization at institutions, policy makers, civic, and community meetings.
- Provide expert advice on policy formulation, analyze potential public reactions, and assist in articulating policy statements.
- Create engaging content for internal and external stakeholders, including newsletters, brochures, presentations, social media materials, and reports.
- Conduct research, analyze public opinion and regulatory trends, and prepare impact assessments and recommendations for senior leaders.
- Coordinate outreach activities, educational initiatives, facility tours, public events, and emergency preparedness communications.
- Monitor public and media perceptions, recommend improvements for communication effectiveness, and report findings to management.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for public, media, and internal audiences.
- Strategic thinking and advocacy skills to drive organizational interests in complex stakeholder environments.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and present information in ways that foster understanding and build support for agency policies.
- Project management and event coordination abilities for public outreach and educational programming.
- Advanced degree in Public Affairs or related field, or equivalent experience/certifications.
