Lead Structural Engineering Opportunity

Port infrastructure projects are underway and we're seeking a structural engineer to take charge of key design, analysis and execution components.

Responsibilities:

  • Structural Design Leadership: Oversee the development, testing and implementation of structural components such as breakwaters, jetties, quays, docks and seawalls.
  • Project Management Consultancy (PMC): Lead technical project management for port infrastructure projects ensuring quality standards, timelines and budget adherence.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with contractors, consultants, government agencies and other engineers to ensure seamless coordination and integration of structural designs into overall project plans.
  • Risk & Safety Management: Implement risk mitigation strategies and safety measures ensuring all structural designs and construction work comply with regulatory guidelines and safety standards.
  • Site Supervision & Quality Assurance: On-site supervise construction activities providing technical guidance resolving issues and ensuring high-quality standards for structural integrity and sustainability.
  • Design Optimization: Apply advanced structural engineering principles to optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, resilience and environmental sustainability.
  • Project Documentation & Reporting: Prepare progress reports, design reviews and technical documentation for stakeholders ensuring transparency and compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience in structural engineering with focus on marine and port infrastructure and significant PMC experience.
  • Post Graduate degree in Structural Engineering specializing in marine structures or coastal engineering.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale port projects including budgeting scheduling and managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in structural engineering software such as STAAD Pro ETABS SAP2000 SAFE and other tools for design and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of marine structures including their response to wave forces tide variations sediment movement and marine environmental conditions.
  • Ability to lead and manage teams collaborate with multiple stakeholders and ensure project milestones are met.
  • Expertise in contract management procurement and ensuring compliance with local regulations and environmental standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to present design concepts and project progress to stakeholders and clients.
