Artistic Visionary

We seek a highly skilled Art Director to spearhead our 3D art team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the overall visual style, tone, and artistic vision for 3D projects.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 3D artists, providing constructive feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with game designers and developers to align art with project goals and technical limitations.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain the 3D art pipeline and production workflow.
  • Ensure all art assets meet high artistic standards through meticulous review.
  • Create initial concepts, visual guides, and storyboards to communicate artistic direction to the team and stakeholders.
  • Oversee timely completion of all art deliverables.
  • Stay current on industry trends, software, and emerging technologies to incorporate best practices and innovative techniques.
Required Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic design, animation, or a related field is typically required.
  • 8+ years of experience in 3D art production, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or senior artist role.
Essential Skills and Expertise
  • Expert proficiency with industry-standard 3D software.
  • Experience with texturing and sculpting tools.
  • Solid understanding of real-time rendering engines like Unity or Unreal Engine.
  • Knowledge of technical art fundamentals, such as modelling, texturing, lighting, rendering, and optimization.
  • The ability to develop and communicate an original and compelling visual style.
  • Proven team management and mentorship skills to inspire and motivate artists.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting concepts and providing clear feedback.
  • The ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams and external partners.
  • Strong creative and critical-thinking skills to overcome technical and artistic challenges.
  • A keen eye for visual quality and consistency to ensure high-fidelity results.
