Job Summary

We seek an experienced Medical Services Head to provide clinical and administrative direction for our medical departments. The successful candidate will oversee the coordination and quality monitoring of all medical care and support related services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall coordination and oversight of medical care provided at our facilities and ensure the quality of clinical services rendered.
  • Ensure statutory compliance with regards to patient safety, confidentiality, and quality standards.
  • Analyze departmental requirements and need for consultants.
  • Participate in revising tariffs and compensation patterns for medical services.
  • Monitor and analyze performance of medical staff.
  • Rationalize doctor costs and optimize utilization of resources.
  • Oversight of clinician-related quality monitoring, accreditation, and quality assurance services.
  • Coordinate medical advisory boards, departmental meetings, and committees related to infection control, pharmacy, ethics, and blood transfusion.
  • To report and communicate quality improvement initiatives, patient safety awareness, and safety culture survey results.
  • Address consultant recruitment, induction, credentialing, privileging, contract formulation, and performance appraisal.
  • Resolve clinical patient concerns, complaints, and potential medico-legal issues in collaboration with treating physicians.
  • Conduct mortality and morbidity meetings, review cases, and audit clinical billing codes.
  • Provide clinical input on medico-legal cases and engage with the team through training, feedback, coaching, and recognition programs.

Requirements

  • MBBS degree with a Master's in Hospital Administration or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Medical Superintendent role, with proven leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively.
