Editorial Project Manager Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Editorial Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end book publishing process. This includes assigning writers, managing the editorial process, coordinating proofreading activities, and collaborating with designers to create engaging and interactive books.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Allocate and manage resources efficiently to meet project requirements and stay within budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with authors to understand their vision and guide them through the writing process.
  • Maintain the highest editorial standards, ensuring consistency and accuracy in the final manuscript.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines to ensure timely delivery of books.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including authors, writers, editors, and designers.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management within the publishing industry.
  • Strong understanding of the book publishing process from manuscript to publication.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide constructive feedback and collaborate with team members.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
