Job Description

As a key member of the Fields of Purity team, the Senior Coordination Officer will play a critical role in supporting the organization's strategic objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level coordination and administrative support to the Senior Management Group (SMG), ensuring the effective implementation of the organization's development programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance to the RC and UNCT on effective, quality, and timely support for the implementation of development programs.
  • Lead and coordinate substantive support to the RC in articulating and communicating a credible and convincing strategic vision for the organization.
  • Develop policy recommendations to the SMG on the development, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation of development programs.
  • Ensure effective support to the SMG in asserting vision and accountability for the organization's operations.
  • Design strategic policy and programmatic services, operational capabilities, and partnership mechanisms.
  • Establish and promote close engagement across the humanitarian, development, and peace sectors.
  • Lead the identification, analysis, and prioritization of joint programmatic work of FOP entities in response to national priorities.
  • Coordinate the FOP through the Joint Workplan and results groups, directing FOP monitoring, evaluation, learning, and reporting.
  • Promote the engagement of all relevant agencies in inter-agency fora and discussions with external partners.
  • Ensure quality control and oversight over strategic communications and advocacy activities.
  • Ensure coherence across different intra-agency coordination bodies.
  • Facilitate the initiation, establishment, and coordination of external partnerships and joint resource mobilization efforts.
  • Facilitate the initiation, establishment, and coordination of effective working relationships with national and international public and private partners.
  • Provide substantive support for positioning the FOP as a key provider of integrated services and as a platform in support of the SMG's objectives.
  • Oversee the formulation and implementation of the partnership approach and resource mobilization strategy.
  • Oversee the implementation of the SMG State Fund/country-level pooled fund.
  • Provide support to strategic messaging and communication initiatives by the SMG.
  • Coordinate and support the roll-out and implementation of the Efficiency Agenda (Business Operations Strategy, Common Premises, and Local Shared Service Centers/Common Back Office).
  • Provide substantive support to the SMG on business innovations for the FOP in country.
  • Support the SMG in their leading role in implementing common premises and establishing a common back office.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and client-orientation in operational service delivery.
  • Coordinate effective participation of entities at the country level in operations management team and represent the SMG.
  • Manage knowledge management and capacity development activities in and outside the FOP system.
  • Create an enabling environment for knowledge generation, sharing, collaboration, and usage of existing good practices and lessons learned.
  • Coordinate the effective communications within the SMG, FOP Division Team, and among other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the sharing of good practices and lessons learned on issues related to FOP strategic planning frameworks, methodologies, and tools.
  • Facilitate the analysis of FOP experiences, lessons learned, and knowledge networking to contribute to strategic planning processes.
  • Keep abreast of emerging innovative approaches and encourage the SMG and FOP to apply new ways of working.
  • Coordinate overall management of the RCO to ensure efficient and effective substantive coordination support to the SMG and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate the formulation and implementation of the substantive work programme of the FOP, allocate and monitor FOP resources for delivery of outputs and reporting on results.
  • Supervise the activities undertaken by the SMG and manage performance of FOP staff, ensuring that programmed activities are conducted in a timely fashion.
  • Perform the role of certifying officer in the FOP platform and perform the system approver role over processes related to human and financial resource management, procurement, general administration, security, time management, and information technology for the SMG.
  • Manage, guide, and train staff under his/her supervision, promote teamwork and communications among staff in the SSMG and across organizational boundaries, ensure staff complete mandatory trainings and System certifications.
  • Establish and maintain a work environment in the SMG Office and across FOP entities that is conducive to innovation and engagement with a diverse set of stakeholders and delivers results in line with the mission & vision for Sustainable Development.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends or patterns and provide insights through graphs, charts, tables, and reports using data visualization methods to enable data-driven planning, decision-making, presentation, and reporting.
  • Ensure that requirements, background information used for data analysis are documented.
