Backend Developer Role

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with expertise in SQL to support the migration of data solutions from Azure Synapse Analytics to SQL-based systems.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop, optimize and maintain solutions to migrate data and processes from Azure Synapse to SQL Server or other SQL platforms.
  • Design and implement backend services and APIs that integrate seamlessly with SQL databases.
  • Write, optimize and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures and database functions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts and business stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance ensuring scalability security and data integrity.
  • Apply best practices in data modelling indexing and performance tuning.
  • Participate in system design discussions code reviews and architecture planning.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of professional experience in backend development and SQL databases.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server or equivalent relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and database migration ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in a backend programming language such as C# Python Java or Node.js.
  • Experience with API development and integration.
  • Solid understanding of relational database design and normalization principles.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services Data Factory Synapse Pipelines SQL Database etc is a plus.
  • Strong analytical troubleshooting and communication skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Experience in performance tuning of large-scale SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL or hybrid data solutions.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps for database deployments.
  • Understanding of data governance and compliance practices.

As a skilled Backend Developer you will be responsible for designing implementing and optimizing backend services and APIs that integrate seamlessly with SQL databases.

Our ideal candidate has 2+ years of professional experience in backend development and SQL databases and a strong knowledge of SQL Server or equivalent relational databases.

They should have hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and database migration ETL processes and proficiency in a backend programming language such as C# Python Java or Node.js.

Additionally they should have experience with API development and integration solid understanding of relational database design and normalization principles and familiarity with Azure cloud services.
