About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Business Opportunity Manager, focusing on emerging technologies within the IoT ecosystem. You will be responsible for identifying and analyzing new business opportunities, developing insightful research reports, and leading the initial incubation phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Idea Generation & Analysis:
    • Analyze market trends, competitor moves, and customer needs to identify potential business opportunities.
    • Develop robust financial models to assess the viability of new ideas.
  • Market Validation & Feasibility Assessment:
    • Conduct thorough market analysis and gather feedback from customers, experts, and competitors to validate business hypotheses.
    • Evaluate the feasibility of new opportunities, considering factors like market size, competition, and potential ROI.
  • Strategic Incubation & Business Development:
    • Lead the initial incubation phase, defining product-market fit and building minimal viable products or prototypes.
    • Cross-functional collaboration to accelerate the incubation process and bring new opportunities to market.
  • Ecosystem Engagement:
    • Nurture a network of external contacts to stay informed about emerging innovation and potential partnership opportunities.
  • Strategic Communication:
    • Persuasively communicate findings and progress to senior leadership, informing strategic investment decisions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a strategy role, such as corporate strategy, venture capital, management consulting, or business development.
  • Proven track record in market analysis, new venture development, or managing early-stage innovation projects.
  • In-depth understanding of the IoT technology stack, competitive landscape, and key market drivers.
  • Superior analytical and financial modeling skills, with experience building business cases.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and ability to thrive in ambiguity.
  • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills, influencing senior stakeholders.

Preferred:

Experience taking a new product or business from concept through to launch.
