Job Title: Technical Systems Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Operations: Install, configure and maintain operating systems on diverse devices.
  • Hardware Management: Assemble, upgrade and troubleshoot computer hardware components.
  • Software Support: Install, configure, backup and troubleshoot standard software applications including MS Outlook.
  • Network Infrastructure: Install and troubleshoot network printers; configure VPNs and firewalls.
  • Data Security: Implement BitLocker encryption, manage antivirus updates and virus protection.
  • Directory Services: Manage user accounts, reset passwords, update group policies and control access.
  • Remote Assistance: Provide remote support for software and system-related issues.
  • Asset Administration: Coordinate with vendors for hardware issues and maintain inventory records for hardware and software assets.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of operating system installation and configuration.
  • Proficiency in assembling, upgrading and troubleshooting computer hardware.
  • Experience with standard software applications including MS Outlook.
  • Knowledge of network printer installation and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with VPN and firewall configuration.
  • Understanding of data security principles.
  • Ability to manage user accounts and directory services.
  • Experience with remote assistance tools.
  • Organizational skills for asset administration.
