Enterprise DevOps Engineer

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in infrastructure and operations, with experience in implementing and managing large-scale enterprise environments.

  • Determine the current infrastructure requirements for GitLab implementation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to understand Enterprise Architecture and Security standards.
  • Install, configure, and manage servers for GitLab.
  • Leverage Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code tools to set up required infrastructure.
  • Integrate GitLab with existing tools and services.
  • Configure security settings and access controls for GitLab.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and Azure DevOps.
  • Provide training and support to team members on utilizing GitLab effectively.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues with GitLab infrastructure.
  • Adopt best practices for version control, code review, and collaboration.
  • Ensure successful adoption of GitLab by development teams.
  • Maintain documentation for GitLab setup and usage.
  • Recommend best practices around Microsoft Azure and assist with ad-hoc queries.
  • Automate mundane tasks using scripts and routines.
  • Provision and orchestrate container workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm charts.
  • Manage Windows and Linux instances as required.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Configuring and managing GitLab Runner infrastructure.
  • Setting up encryption of databases and software artefacts.
  • Creating webhooks to perform administrative tasks.
  • Contributing to deployment operations and ensuring successful deployments.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in infrastructure and operations.
  • Experience in implementing and managing large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Professional certifications in DevOps or related fields.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and other cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of Containerization and Orchestration.
