Release Manager Job Summary

This is a highly skilled and experienced professional position responsible for leading our Release Management initiatives.

Job Description

We are seeking a Release Manager to plan, schedule, and manage software releases across multiple environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Change Request creation, cross-team coordination, and automation-driven delivery pipelines.

The successful candidate will ensure timely and quality delivery of releases with minimal disruption, maintain release calendars, and coordinate with stakeholders for alignment.

  • Create, track, and manage Change Requests (CRs) through their lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance and external audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to assess impact and risk.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a liaison between development, QA, infrastructure, and business teams.
  • Facilitate release readiness meetings and post-release reviews.
  • Resolve conflicts and dependencies across teams to ensure smooth delivery.
Technical Requirements:
  • Implement and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.
  • Monitor and optimize deployment processes for scalability and reliability.
  • Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Soft Skills:
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effectively convey technical and non-technical information to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Foster a collaborative environment across geographically distributed teams.
Education and Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in Release Management and DevOps.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile processes.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Python, Groovy).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Certifications in DevOps & Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in regulated industries is a plus.
  • Familiarity with security and compliance standards in release processes.
