Job Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

  • To contribute to the development of divisional buying and merchandising strategies, working within them at all times.
  • Buying merchandise, coordinating with vendors, and finding resources at best prices for higher quality and cost-effective products.
  • Collaborating with the merchandising team to ensure deliveries satisfy assigned purchase orders.
  • Identifying future product offerings by researching customer needs and technological trends.
  • Planning pricing strategies with the marketing department and management to reach optimal pricing agreements with suppliers.
  • Developing and sourcing products to meet customer requirements, maximizing current sourcing channels and identifying new opportunities.
  • Supporting negotiations and working with the supply base to achieve best costs and margins.
  • Collaborating with designers on style development, design research trips, fabric advice, and informing best sellers.
  • Managing stock, style options, quantities, promotions, and markdowns with merchandising.
  • Tracking competitors' activities through market research to understand trends, forecasting, and color, fabric, etc.
  • Developing promotional plans, product presentation, packaging, and product development.
  • Reviewing and adjusting season and weekly plans.
  • Vendor identification and development.
  • Obtaining range merchandise after effective negotiation.
  • Working with marketing and design to develop visual merchandising promotions in line with theme and product launches.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of samples by vendors.
  • Setting standards for quality of merchandise with QA.
  • Reconciling store plans and fixing departmental financial plans.
  • Supporting negotiations and working with the supply base to achieve best costs and margins.
