About This Role:

This role will play a pivotal part in spearheading the strategic migration of .NET applications to a Java-based ecosystem within the financial sector.

Our ideal candidate is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in both .NET and Java development, coupled with profound knowledge of the financial sector.

Responsibilities include leading the technical design and implementation of migration strategies from .NET to Java, ensuring data integrity and minimizing disruptions to business operations.

  • Develop robust and scalable Java-based solutions that adhere to industry best practices and security standards within the financial sector.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of existing .NET applications to identify migration challenges, dependencies, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Mentor and guide engineers on Java development best practices, migration techniques, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, performance, and adherence to architectural guidelines.

Key Skills & Experience include 8+ years of experience in software development with a strong exposure to large-scale applications, expertise in both .NET and Java technologies, and proven experience in leading or contributing to large-scale application migration projects.

  • Strong understanding of financial domain concepts, including financial products, regulatory compliance, and security considerations.
  • Experience with REST APIs, SOAP services, ORM, and event-driven systems.
  • Experience with relational databases, cloud platforms, and containerization technologies.
  • Experience with migration tools, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies, including Agile/Scrum.
