Key Roles and Responsibilities:

The Import Executive will be responsible for coordinating the importation of goods, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

  • Preparation and post-documentation, including preparing Export Invoice, Packing List, BL Draft, and other related documents.
  • Generating Insurance Certificates via online portal and maintaining sufficient Insured amount balance.
  • Understanding of handling hazardous cargo, including knowledge of various Haz Class, Packing Groups, and preparation of Dangerous Goods Declaration (DGD).
  • Coordinating with Factory, CHA, Forwarding Agent, Transporter, Shipping Lines & Customers.
Duties and Accountabilities:
  • Negotiating Air or Sea freight with forwarders, shipping line or CHA.
  • Checking and approving SB Checklists /BOE Checklist/ AWB Draft / BL Draft, etc.
  • Coordination with freight forwarders for flight / vessel booking.
  • Arrangement of courier shipments through DHL / FedEx.
  • Knowledge of Letter of Credit (LC) Shipments.
  • Regular review and understanding requirements of SCOMET and Narcotics for every shipment.
  • Resolution of queries from export customers promptly and efficiently.
  • Arrangement of transport for FCL shipments, factory stuffing.
  • Application for Preferential & Non-preferential COOs online.
  • Multipleshipment handling efficiency.
  • Sending final shipment documents to customers and keeping track of cargo till it is delivered to client.
  • Accurate records maintenance for all export shipments, including up-to-date status of EGM and RODTEP benefit.
  • RODTPE Scrip generation and other DGFT / ICEGATE applications knowledge.
  • Relevant packing arrangement considering nature of shipments, especially for dangerous goods.
  • Import / export regulation compliance, including HS codes, tariffs, and taxes.
  • Accurate records and reports, including import data and compliance documents.
  • Collaboration with internal teams, such as logistics, finance, and procurement, to ensure alignment and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on changes in import / export regulations and company policies.
