We are seeking an experienced Strategic Operations Director to lead our operations team and drive business growth.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Strategic Operations Director. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve operational excellence, including safety, quality, on-time delivery, inventory management, cost reduction, and supply chain optimization.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to design and improve processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of budgets, including operational KRA (Key Result Areas) such as ITO, RDSL, and DPO.
  • Manage configuration engineering, production, EHS (Environmental Health and Safety), quality, cost, and order fulfillment to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Closely coordinate with sales, logistics, and other departments to establish streamlined processes from sales kick-off to manufacturing, ensuring on-time delivery and customer delight.
  • Establish and streamline S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) calls, production planning calls, and vendor development activities to drive business growth.
  • Drive regionalization and localization activities to establish a resilient, flexible, and cost-efficient supply chain with best-in-class lead times.
  • Implement digitalization and sustainability initiatives to enhance productivity while reducing carbon footprint.
  • Collaborate with other WA factories to ensure cross-functional communication and collaboration in capturing business opportunities and meeting commitments.
  • Foster a continuous improvement culture, ensuring ownership at all levels of the organization, and train and mentor operation talent on continuous improvement tools and techniques.
  • Oversee logistics function and dispatch planning activities, ensuring weekly and monthly planning calls meet POR (Production Operational Requirements) targets.
  • Lead a highly technical team of applications, design, and tool manufacturing to foster a high-performance culture and collaborative environment.
  • Direct and manage operation talent, assessing current team members, identifying needs, selecting talent, and developing employees to ensure 'bench strength' and continued development and advancement of top talent within the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or Business or any related field.
  • 15+ years of Industrial automation experience.
  • Minimum 7+ years of proven experience and knowledge in operations/project management/supply chain/manufacturing.
  • Good managerial skill in leading, organizing, planning, and encouraging others.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong character and conviction to lead and represent the operations team among top-level staff in India, Asia, and other World areas.
  • Proficiency in English, working with partners in India, Asia, and globally.
  • Open to travel 30% within India.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
