As a Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements and submissions.
- Regulatory Submissions: Periodically upload regulatory submissions in the IRDA portal after concurrence with relevant stakeholders.
- Aware of Regulatory Processes: Understand the process of submission of regulations, including new business submissions, schedules submissions, SP submissions, complaints submissions, financial statements submissions, and compliance certificates as applicable.
- Registers Maintenance: Track, align, ensure, and coordinate with respective business units and BIU teams for regulatory registers maintained in an appropriate format.
- Communication to Regulators: Notify regulators about branch openings and closures, directorship changes, regulatory charges, and other communications as per regulations.
- IIB Envoy Portal Update: Upload, track, and review salesperson and SP details periodically.
- License Renewal: Ensure all applicable licenses are procured, renewed, and coordinated with relevant stakeholders on licensing applicability and repository maintenance.
- NOC Issuance & Detagging Pan: Issue NOC for exited SPs and detag PAN from IRDA and Envoy, along with record keeping.
- Telemarketer License: Apply for telemarketing licenses and submit regulatory data to IRDAI as per stipulated guidelines.
- Renewal of Licenses: Track and renew IRDAI CA licenses, PO, ISNP, Envoy, and other licenses along with PO and relevant stakeholders.
- Regulatory Checklist: Track the regulatory checklist, including IRDAI data maintenance, registers, timely submissions, grievances, and reconciliations.
- Reconciliations Tracking: Coordinate with finance, product teams, and insurers for reconciliation sign-off every month.
- Agreements Maintenance: Maintain and track agreements of insurers, SLAs of insurers, commission structures of insurers.
- Grievance Tracking/Data Maintenance: Track grievances from the grievance team, insurers, and coordinate resolution with insurers, business, product, and branch teams.
- Audit Initiation for Branch & Tracking: Provide audit checklists and coordinate with functional audit teams and track audit resolutions for branches.
- Compliance Check on AML: Provide checklists to compliance teams and coordinate and track AML cases with internal and external stakeholders.
- Legal/Litigation Tracking: Bookkeep litigation of insurance cases, update regulators as needed, and maintain open cases.
Key qualifications include excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Proficiency in regulatory knowledge and awareness of industry standards and best practices.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to analyze complex regulatory issues and develop effective solutions.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Time Management: Excellent time management skills to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
