AI Systems Engineer

  • About the Role:
  • We're seeking a skilled engineer to design, build, and deploy AI systems that power real-world applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Build AI Pipelines: Develop end-to-end pipelines for data ingestion, cleaning, embeddings, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Engineer Scalable Infrastructure: Architect APIs, microservices, and data systems that integrate into live products.
  • Experiment and Deploy: Prototype generative AI tools, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, and autonomous agents—and push them into production.
  • Full-Stack Thinking: Move fluidly between model work, backend engineering, and systems design.
  • Collaborate Across Ventures: Work alongside product managers, designers, and founders to bring new AI-powered ventures to life.

Requirements:

  • Strong Programming Background: Proficiency in languages like Python, Node.js, or similar, with deep comfort in software engineering best practices.
  • Experience with ML/AI Frameworks: Knowledge of frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.
  • Data Engineering & Databases: Familiarity with data engineering principles, databases (SQL/NoSQL), vector DBs like Pinecone/Weaviate, and cloud storage.
  • MLOps and Deployment: Hands-on experience with MLOps and deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure.
  • Retrieval Systems & Embeddings: Exposure to retrieval systems, embeddings, and RAG pipelines.
  • Builder's Mindset: Comfortable taking ownership from zero-to-one.
  • Multi-modal Systems: Experience with multi-modal systems (text, voice, vision).
  • Generative Agents: Interest in generative agents, conversational AI, or recommendation engines.
  • Startups or Venture Studios: Previous work in startups or venture studios.
