About the Job:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing procurement processes, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, coordinate, monitor, and support procurement activities for business projects and factories within established policies and guidelines.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners, including engineering, commercial, sales, project management teams, and suppliers/vendors.
- Sourcing and floating inquiries to approved vendors based on provided specifications, providing clarifications to/from vendors for offers received, and coordinating with the engineering department for techno-commercial evaluation.
- Assess vendor offers, negotiate terms, place orders, and ensure techno-commercial evaluation to identify possible deviations and compare/ negotiate technical, commercial, and other issues with the vendor.
- Identify and develop vendors that meet target cost, quality, and time schedules as per business requirements.
- Monitor and follow-up on vendor activities, highlighting potential delays and ensuring corrective actions are taken to minimize/manage delays/damages.
- Support the sales department in making proposals at the bid stage, aiming to get the best price from vendors within the required timeframe to secure orders.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in factory/project procurement.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software.
