At Renate Capital Fund I, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Venture Fund Associate to join our team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing investors, structuring deals, closing deals, evaluating startups, managing due diligence, and supporting portfolio companies. This is a unique opportunity to work directly under the Managing Director and be part of the core team.

We invest in revenue-positive Indian startups solving core Indian problems. Our fund focuses on investing in Seed Rounds and targeting disciplined exits with 3× returns.

Key Responsibilities
  • ">Deal Sourcing: Identify potential investors/LPs through networks, events, inbound leads, accelerators, and referrals.
  • Evaluation of Investments: Analyze business models, financials, traction, and scalability of potential investments.
  • Due Diligence: Support legal, financial, and compliance checks on shortlisted startups.
  • Portfolio Support: Work with portfolio companies on fundraising, growth strategy, and performance tracking.
  • Market Research: Conduct deep dives into sectors, prepare market maps, and identify emerging opportunities.
  • Fund Operations: Assist with investment memos, reporting to LPs, and internal fund documentation.
  • Ecosystem Building: Represent Renate Capital at startup events, demo days, and founder meetings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree: Completed or ongoing in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: 6-12 months in VC, PE, consulting, investment banking, or startup strategy.
  • Skills: Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, strong networking skills, and prior built-up network.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and presentation abilities, entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced, lean team environment.
