IoT Innovation Strategist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Discover and analyze emerging technologies, business models, competitor moves, and untapped market spaces in the IoT ecosystem through proactive scanning.
  • Develop insightful research reports on long-term trends, disruptions, and potential threats to current business operations.

Market Validation & Feasibility Assessment:

  • Design and execute validation processes for new opportunity hypotheses using primary customer research, expert interviews, competitive analysis, and prototype testing.
  • Develop robust financial models and business cases to assess market size, potential ROI, and strategic value of new opportunities.

Strategic Incubation & Business Building:

  • Lead initial incubation phase for validated opportunities, defining product-market fit, building MVPs or prototypes, and running pilot programs with early customers.
  • Cross-functional coordination (engineering, design, product, finance) to accelerate incubation process.

Ecosystem Engagement:

  • Build network of external contacts (startups, academics, industry experts, venture capitalists) for emerging innovation and potential partnership opportunities.

Strategic Communication:

  • Clearly communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to senior leadership for strategic investment decisions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years experience in strategy role (corporate strategy, venture capital, management consulting, product management, or business development) within technology context.
  • Proven experience in market analysis, new venture development, or managing early-stage innovation projects.
  • Deep understanding of IoT technology stack, competitive landscape, and key market drivers.
  • Superior analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and ability to thrive in ambiguity.
  • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills.
