Unix Systems Specialist Position

This is a highly challenging role for an experienced Unix Systems Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of the IMS Banking division, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support for Unix systems in a critical banking environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Unix administration and have a proven track record of ensuring high availability, performance, and security of IT systems. They should also be familiar with ITIL processes and have experience working in a mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshooting complex technical issues and implementing approved changes
  • Conducting root cause analysis for recurring incidents and developing permanent fixes
  • Tuning configurations and scheduling jobs to enhance system performance and reliability
  • Collaborating with vendors (TAC cases, firmware/patch planning) and verifying post-change health
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, runbook hygiene, and clear communication with operations, security, audit, and business stakeholders

Requirements include:

  • 6+ years of experience in Unix administration (L2)
  • 10+ years of experience in Unix administration (L3)

Key skills include:

  • Unix - AIX (6.1/7.1/7.2/7.3)
  • Power 8/9/10
  • HMC (v10)
  • VIOS (3.1.1.25/ 3.1.4.31/ 4.1.0.21)
