Senior Backend Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to lead our team in building high-impact fintech products. As a key member of our technical leadership, you will be responsible for designing scalable systems, guiding the development process, and ensuring the delivery of quality software.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain large-scale backend systems using Golang.
  • Leverage your expertise to mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence within the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand new features and projects, and design optimal solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Work closely with the product team to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Ensure code quality by conducting thorough code reviews and enforcing best practices.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and product backlog discussions to ensure team alignment and progress.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation to ensure clarity on system operations.
  • Distribute tasks effectively within the team and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Monitor system health using tools like Grafana, New Relic, Sentry, and intervene promptly during incidents.
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts (Python/Shell).

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in backend development, with at least 4+ years in Golang.
  • Strong system design skills and experience building large-scale systems.
  • Good understanding of Kafka.
  • Proficient with Docker; Kubernetes experience is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with AWS (ECS, ECR, S3, Lambda, Secrets Manager, EC2, Route 53).
  • Experience with at least one of these: Grafana (Loki, Tempo, Prometheus), New Relic, Sentry.
  • Basic knowledge of Python or Shell scripting.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
