Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled SRE professional to build and maintain resilient, fault-tolerant AWS architectures with automation and multi-region failover.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SRE principles (SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, error budgets) and experience in implementing resilience patterns – retries, throttling, circuit breakers, graceful degradation.

They will also be responsible for configuring end-to-end observability pipelines (logs, metrics, traces, events) with CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Grafana.

Additionally, the successful candidate will develop automation and self-healing workflows using Python, Node.js/TypeScript, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement resilient, fault-tolerant AWS architectures with automation and multi-region failover.
  • Apply SRE principles to drive reliability and reduce toil.
  • Implement resilience patterns to ensure high system availability.
  • Configure end-to-end observability pipelines to monitor system performance.
  • Develop automation and self-healing workflows to improve system efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in SRE/DevOps with AWS serverless.
  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS serverless stack: Lambda, EventBridge, Kinesis, Firehose, S3, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, RDS.
  • Strong coding expertise in Python and Node.js/TypeScript for automation.
  • Experience in IAM, Security Groups, Secrets Manager, resiliency automation, and chaos testing.
  • Knowledge of ECS/EKS and data observability is a plus.

Collaboration and Work Model:

Offshore delivery model – collaborate with Onsite Architect and Offsite Lead.

Work Hours: flexible.

Location: Xebia India offices (Flexible/Hybrid).
